Prairie Dog Town 🐿️

What happens

In the Badlands, the hills are striped pink and cream like a giant layer cake, and the ground is full of prairie dog holes. Little heads pop up everywhere, some do a happy jump-yip, a bighorn sheep watches from the hill and bison plod past.

Fun facts

• Prairie dogs say hello by touching their teeth together, like a little kiss!
• Prairie dogs do a jump-yip: they throw their arms up and squeak!
• Long ago, rhinos, camels and sabertooth cats lived here. Their fossils are still in the ground!
