What happens

From the safe lookout on Tanna Island, Vanuatu, at dusk, Mount Yasur puffs and pops glowing sparks into the sky like fireworks. Every BOOM makes the kids jump and the ball goes flying!

Fun facts

• Mount Yasur has been erupting a little bit almost all the time for hundreds of years.
• Volcano visits only happen with guides, at the safe lookout.
• Flying foxes are bats as big as a cat, and they love fruit.
