The Waterfall Staircase 💦

What happens

At Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, the ball bounces down a staircase of turquoise lakes, waterfall after waterfall. The kids follow the wooden boardwalk, an otter thinks the ball is a toy and juggles it on its tummy, a brown bear wanders far away on the ridge, and neon blue and red dragonflies zip over the water.

Fun facts

• Plitvice has 16 lakes joined by about 90 waterfalls.
• The waterfalls are still growing, built up slowly by minerals in the water.
• Dragonflies can fly forwards, backwards and even upside down.
